Brothers and Sisters,
The first week of negotiations is complete and for the most part it went well. The parties did agree on U-13, which is a housekeeping proposal over holiday pay. The better part of the week the company and the Union asked questions concerning each proposal. Generally the questions surround the needs or the problem the proposal deals with. Essentially, "Why do you need it?"
Next week the parties will be back at the table. I will update the web later in the week so that everyone can stay up to date with the negotiations.
